Over the past few years, Systems Xpert, has recommended and used enterprise servers from one of the leading global server manufacturers. However, over that time we've been less than impressed with the service and quality of the equipment we've purchased for ourselves and our clients. The last straw was when a redundant power supply unit failed the other week and also blew the DC/DC adapter and the other redundant power supply, which was not even plugged in at the time, rendering the server unusable. It took many conversations with people in an overseas call centre to get through to someone who could help us. A process that took many days.
With this experience in mind, we thought, "there has to be a better way". So, after investigating the options, we have become a reseller of a leading Australian assembler of enterprise hardware. They offer the same 3 year warranties with next day or 4-hour response as the global brand, but their call centres and technicians are all located in Australia.
